The Karate Kid: Coming from a HUGE fan of the original films (the first two in particular) I really liked the newest addition. It follows the story from the original for the most part with many familiar scenes redone a little differently, and little things appear in different ways (like Wax on, wax off… but it is only Chan working with his car). But the film is enjoyable and I believe Jaden Smith may have one upped Ralphy in the acting department. One scene in particular (wanting to go back home) was the icing on the cake. Ralph may have looked more comfortable with the ladies (what was he like 21 when the movie was made!?!?!?!) but Jaden knows how to pull off an very emotional scene.

The fight scenes also come out on top… I couldn’t believe the action on this one… I wanted to stand up and yell “Get him a body bag… YEEEAAAHHH” And the crane kick pose is in the film but not used in fighting… The final kick is quite different!!!
